Paula knows first hand the toll that caregiving takes on a person.
In 1993, Paula's husband, Dean, suffered a massive heart attack. He
flatlined and amazingly survived, but the damage to his body forced Dean into an early retirement. Over the course of the next thirty years, Paula served not only as his caregiver, but also as his wife, the mother of their two young children, the daughter of two aging parents, and the proprietor of multiple businesses, now that she was the family’s sole provider.
Throughout these challenges, Paula remained strong for her family. But the three decades took its toll.

By 2005, the stress had caused severe inflammation throughout her body. She had severe aches and discomfort that required daily high doses of over-the-counter medications. Paula sought out help from trusted sources and was introduced to energy-providing therapies that allowed her body to start healing itself. In the years that followed, she was able to continue to "do it all"—without prescriptions or medication—until her husband passed away.
When Dean passed away in 2021, Paula's body broke down from decades of being in high stress "fight or flight" mode. The energy-providing tools kept Paula healthy enough to take care of Dean, but juggling his health and everything else in their lives took its toll. And now, years later, Paula is finally feeling like her body is starting to heal and come back to "normal", as the tools are helping her to continue healing.
On her healing journey, Paula has discovered so many more caregivers whose bodies are facing these stresses and some level of deterioration. Now she is on a mission to help other caregivers stay strong, healthy, and energized, so they can better care for themselves while still supporting the people they care for.
